We even have a Wellness Centre for students. Our staff will actively engage with you, always prioritising your learning experience. No wonder we鈥檙e consistently ranked one of the best in Australia for things like student support and overall student experience (Good Universities Guide 2024).
Everything you need to know
We make creative thinkers here too
At ECU, we believe that human creativity, combined with the inspiration of learning, has the power to transform lives and to create a better world.
So we鈥檒l prepare you by teaching you the skills we know industries and employers worldwide are looking for, including creative thinking and problem-solving. We鈥檒l encourage you to have a positive mindset, and to see problems as opportunities.
Speaking of teaching, we鈥檙e also an established Australian leader in the quality of our teaching. It鈥檚 a big part of our values. And it鈥檚 why our graduates have given us the top 5 stars rating for 17 years in a row in the Good Universities Guide.
Diverse students, staff and courses
As a student, you鈥檒l be spoilt for choice at ECU. There鈥檚 so much variety across our eight study areas 鈥 Arts and Humanities; Business and Law; Engineering; Medical and Health Sciences; Nursing; Science; Teacher Education and the Western Australian Academy of Performing Arts.
Our courses are internationally recognised, with many professionally accredited by national and international organisations.
Here, you can expect learning to go beyond the classroom, with practicum placements in real businesses and organisations, opportunities for paid internships, university exchange programmes and international study tours.
Come and study with us on a study abroad programme for a semester, or study for a whole degree. You鈥檒l love the place!
We鈥檙e young and we鈥檙e curious
ECU is the youngest of all the universities in Western Australia. And like the youngest in any family, we鈥檙e on a mission to be noticed!
Being young means we鈥檙e constantly curious. That curiosity has led us to not only being creative thinkers, but also to undertaking world-class research, the kind that makes a strong social, economic, environmental and cultural impact.
If you鈥檙e a naturally curious person and are interested in doing inspiring research that improves the lives of your fellow humans, we want to hear from you.

Eligibility for ECU academic scholarships is automatically assessed at the time of application.
